About ZGS-Yadadri Bhongir

To Promote and Organize Library services in the state, “ Telangana Public Libraries Act, 1960 was introduceed. Accordingly “LOCAL LIBRARY AUTHORITY” have been substituted by ZILLA GRANDHALAYA SAMSTHA’s in the year 1969.

Objectives

Free access to knowledge and information: Public libraries' main goal is to give everyone free access to books, magazines, newspapers, journals, and other materials that support literacy, lifelong learning, and personal development. Therefore, this government is funding the purchase of new books for those taking competitive exams.

To organise and promote free library service to all citizens in the district as main objective, Zilla Kendra Grandhalaya Samstha Yadadri Bhongir was started in the year of 1959.

To organise and promote free library service to all citizens in the district as main objective, Zilla Kendra Grandhalaya Samstha Yadadri Bhongir was started in the year of 1959.

Books Exhibition

The Central Library, Telanagana, in collaboration with the Telangana Empanelled Book Vendors is regularly organizing the Physical & Virtual Book Exhibitions to provide an open platform to institute fraternity to visit, choice, review, recommend and procure the books displayed by the vendors. During the exhibition, the empanelled vendors setting up stalls with their latest editions of published books including textbooks and references from the leading publishers like Springer.

Rules

  • The opening hours of the library are between 8:00AM and 8:00PM. Friday is a holiday.
  • The admission fee for membership is Rs. 100/- for lifetime access and refundable.
  • The books borrowed should be returned within 15 days. Charges will be collected if the books are returned late.
  • Borrowing books and news papers from the Reference Section is not allowed.
    If you tear pages, fold them, underline them with pencils or pens, and lose them, it should be considered lost. Book amount should be paid by the borrower.
  • In case of loss of books, you should pay the price of the book, including courier fees.
  • The book is not in a good state, the librarian does not want to provide it.
  • If there are any service issues, please inform the librarian concerned.
  • Before leaving the library, it is required that you return all books.
  • The person who withdraws (membership) would have to apply to the library 15 days in advance.
    If you have pending any book or fine, which will not cancel your membership and will not provide any extra book for you.
  • Maintaining a borrower ticket is necessary, otherwise you will have to pay Rs 5/- per ticket.
  • You must return the book within 60 days otherwise membership will be cancelled.
  • On Demand Scheme will be applicable only who hold the membership.
